Sunday, January 16, 2011 was a turning point in the life of young socialite Olumide and son of billionaire business man, Chief Harry Akande, when he finally walked the aisle with his heart throb and longtime girlfriend, Dakore Egbuson.

The high society wedding held January 16, 2011 at the Guiding Light Assembly, Parkview estate, Ikoyi Lagos and was followed with a mother of all reception at the KFA events place on Lekki – Epe express- way, Lagos.

Olumide and wife 

After a four and half years of a whirlpool romance and fencing off speculations about the relationship, the celebrated actress, musician and her beau are finally married.

The bride’s lateness to the Church service however didn’t dampen the spirit of the groom and his groomsmen even as they waited for more than an hour for the arrival of the bride.

And when she did finally arrive, it was in a stretch Limousine owed by Island Limousine amidst, glitz and glamour.

Professor Kasumu (SAN), former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon and other important dignitaries who are friends of the groom’s father were some of th3 high profile persons that graced the wedding.

But the wedding didn’t go with a spice of humour. When it was apparent that the Church service too long, Olumide told the officiating Pastor that he desperately needed to kiss his wife. Everyone present laughed.

And when the permission was finally given by the officiating Minister Pastor Wale Adefarasin, Olumide collected the bouquet of flower from his wife, kissed her and returned the flower to her.

The wedding train moved to the reception which took place at the KFA Events Centre on Lekki-Epe express, Lagos.

At the reception, Olumide had a surprise waiting for his wife Dakore. Soulful artist Bez was on hand to serenad her to some choice love songs! Bez we further gathered is Dakore’s best soul artiste.

Dakore obviously took Olumide’s breath away as he watched her walk down the aisle in her stunning A-line lace wedding dress with a cathedral length train. Dakore’s beautiful dress was delicately embellished with Swarovski Crystals which twinkled each time the bride moved.  Olumide was debonair in his blue suit paired with an ornate gold tie. The colour of the day was Clementine orange and gold.

Dakore and Olumide took things to the next level at the reception as they danced, kissed and savored their magical evening.

With IK on the mic as the MC, all the guests were thoroughly entertained and joyously embraced the opportunity to share this special day with this blessed couple.

Dakore’s friends and colleagues were on hand to savour the blitz. They came in the form of silver screen goddesses  Ruth Benamesia Opiah, Kehinde Young Harry, Sienne All-well brown.  Nollywood super stars like Monalisa Chinda, Emem isong,super diva,  Rita Dominic, all cute looking kate Henshaw Nuttal, Segun Arinze and wife, ever radiant Stella Damascus Nzeribe and many others were also there.

Also present was, Entertainment guru, Dayo Adeneye (D1) of Primetime entertainment accompanied by his wife, Caroline.
