MOPOL officers kill Police Constable in Warri

FIVE men dressed in Moblie Police uniform, yesterday, morning shot dead one Police Constable, Felix Omale, attached to the “A” Division Police Headquarters, Warri, Delta State.
A police patrol team from the “A” Division was at a nipping point along the Ekurede Itsekiri/NPA expressway when a black SUV with unknown plate number was flagged down by the team. On stopping, the occupants were discovered to be all dressed in mobile police uniform and were allowed a quick passage.
According to police sources, the vehicle moved farther away and parked off the road with one of them alighting and beaconing on one of the policemen on patrol to come as if to make enquiry.
One of the policemen heeded the call, perhaps in the spirit of esprit de corp only to be gunned down and his riffle taken away and the SUV drove off before the other police on guard with him could realize what had befallen their man.
