Jonathan For Katsina-Alu’s Wife’s Burial Today
Judiciary, Latest Politics Friday, May 13th, 2011PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan will lead a high powered Federal Government delegation to the burial of Mrs Victoria Mimidoo Katsina-Alu, wife of the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Aloysius Katsina Alu at the country home of the Chief Justice at Tse-Alu, Mbayem, Ushongo local council of Benue State today.
In an interview with The Guardian in Makurdi, Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam said the President and the Federal Government delegation would be received at the Makudi Airport, before the president proceeds in a military helicopter to the venue of the burial.
Suswam said he received Supreme Court Justices who were in the state for the burial yesterday.
The governor said also expected to attend the burial are members of the National Assembly led by the Senate President and scores of governors from different states of the federation.
He said Nigerians received the death of the wife of the Chief Justice of the Federation with rude shock, hence the large turn-out of leaders and ordinary people to pay their condolences and last respects.
Suswam attributed the respect accorded Mrs Katsina-Alu by Nigerians to the virtues she displayed while alive which endeared her to everyone who came in contact with her.
“Mrs Katsina-Alu was a philanthropist and devoted Christian who would be missed by all who knew her, especially those whose lives she touched through her philanthropy,” he said.
