Why I snubbed Chelsea – Taiwo

Incoming AC Milan fullback Taye Taiwo has explained why he chose the Rossoneri ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Nigeria international is joining Milan on a Bosman from Marseille.

“I had some offers from the Premier League but I decided Milan because it is a big club at the same level as Chelsea or Manchester United,” he told Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“I always wanted to be on a team with players of this quality and I am totally convinced my style of play will fit better in Italy than in England.”
