Okorocha commends IGP, DSS, CP for killing VampireHeadlines, Imo, State News Friday, March 3rd, 2017
This, he said, happened few weeks after his men had taken him away from the Owerri High Court, where he was standing trial for the crimes he had committed.
Okorocha further extended his commendation to the officers and men of the Directorate of Security Services who first arrested Vampire in Owerri.
He said, “The arrest raised the consciousness of both the security agencies and the public about the existence of the hardened criminal.”
The Governor reiterated that the killing of Vampire and arrest of his gang members was one the major mantra of his Rescue Mission administration when he came on board in 2011.
On the reported threat against him and his family by Vampire over the N5m ransom he placed on his head, Okorocha described such threat as an empty one.
He said, “I said this because I knew that since Vampire stepped into ImoState to carry out criminal activities that he would soon become a history and a bad one for anyone that matter”.
Meanwhile, the Governor had reiterated that Imo State would remain no-go-area for criminals and that those who might succumb to the temptation of ignoring his warning would have themselves to blame at the end.
