Tanzanian comedian, Idris Sultan, detained for making fun of the president’s suit

Image(NNP) A video that has gone viral has led to the detention of popular Tanzanian comedian and former Big Brother Africa winner, Idris Sultan. In the video, the comedian was seen to be making fun of an old picture of the President, John Magifuli, drawing attention to the oversized suit worn by the president many years ago. His lawyer, Mr. Bennedict Ishabakaki, stated that he has been detained since Tuesday and has been denied bail. The former winner of Big Brother Africa was detained under the country’s controversial Cybercrime Act.
