Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West: On Eugene Dibiagwu’s Mandate We Stand – Kenneth Uwadi

By Kenneth Uwadi | Imo State, Nigeria | Dec. 7, 2022 – No matter how democracy is practiced in this part of the African continent called Nigeria, it will continue to remain the best form of government. In a democracy, the real power belongs to the people.  It is the people who give out their power when they exercise their franchise through the ballot and they reserve the right to withdraw such a mandate when they so decide.

Next year the people of Nigeria will demonstrate their power in the ballot process by electing their leaders. No election is perfect but come 2023, Nigerians will speak again.

For Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency, on Hon Eugene Dibiagwu  we stand. l am  a strong believer in this man. Here is a man  loved by his people, with high followership. I have had some moments with him  and just like Uzodinma  came in and is doing  well for the State, it  is sure  that Dibiagwu  will do well for his Federal constituency. His knowledge and experience can be harnessed for the positive interest of the people. It will not make sense for me to support anyone else contesting for the seat. It will not make sense for my voice to be the wilderness voice. I believe in  leadership that is accountable to the people; leadership that puts people’s interest above every primordial or selfish interest.  I am also a life friend of justice and rule of law. Above all, my main concern in the Imo  issue is peace and development of my state.

Dangote as they call him is a man full of milk of human kindness. He has used his hard-earned wealth to assist many in need. He is simple, unassuming, accessible, reachable . He will prioritize employment, youth empowerment and will attract federal projects that will develop the region. In Dibiagwu, APC has given Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West  a good gift. We are going down memory lane to re-enact a working economy via policy formulation, sound legislation, articulate enactment of laws that will resuscitate and galvanize our system to work effectively again.

Dibiagwu is a man who is  distinguished in rendering prudent services as a contractor and delivers quality  jobs . He is a man of eloquence, who can supply the oratorical gloss to finished legislation during floor debate. He has the  skills that make him a superb craftsman behind committee doors. He will excel at protecting his state’s interests and representing its point of view on the issues of the day. Energy, eloquence, wit, good humor, intelligence, frankness, honor—all these are worthy qualities, esteemed by Dibiagwu. He  is a man who can see beyond the borders of his own state.

For all the criticism it receives, the National Assembly  is a tolerant place. It finds uses for all sorts of talents. Persistence and publicity are forces the National Assembly recognizes. The iconoclasts, too, can make their mark in the history books. By and large, though, talent, diligence, breadth of vision and a grasp of major issues will enable a Reps member  to contribute his full share to the making of national policy

Come 2023, the people of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West will speak for peace, progress  of the area  and will  breathe in  change and fresh air  with Dibiagwu at the driver’s seat. Otu a ka odi.
