Amosun swears in 17 commissioners… Soyinka, Ogunde, Abiola’s children in

GOVERNOR Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State  yesterday swore in 17 commissioners and  13 Special Advisers,urging them to  hit the ground running.

Among those sworn in were the children of Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka and  late Hubert Ogunde while late Moshood Abiola’s  daughter Hafsat was sworn in as a Special Adviser.  
     
The governor in his address at June 12 Cultural Centre ,Kuto, Abeokuta,  asked to be forgiven by anybody who felt left out in the appointments, saying, he had before him too many qualified people from who he chose  the few.

  The commissioners, who took their oath of office were also assigned portfolios including  Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu (Information and Strategy); Mr. Daniel Adejobi (Housing); Mr. Adebayo Fari(Environment); Dr. Lanre Tejuoso (Special Duties); Hon. Falilu Adebisi Sabitu (Forestry); Mr. Bimbo Ashiru (Commerce and Industry); Mrs.

Oluwande Muoyo (Budget and Planning); Mrs. Elizabeth Sonubi (Women Affairs and Social Development); Mr. Muyiwa Oladipo (Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs); and Chief Olu Odeyemi (Culture and Tourism).

Others are Mr. Olamilekan Adegbite (Works and Infrastructure); Mr. Segun Odubela (Education); Mr. Gbenga Otenuga (Youths and Sports); Mr. Ayo Olubori (Agriculture); Chief Samuel Durojaiye Aiyedogbon (Community Development and Cooperative); Mr. Wemimo Ogunde, SAN, (Attorney General and Justice); Mrs. Kemi Adeosun (Finance); and Dr. Olaokun Soyinka (Health).

 Sworn-in as Special Advisers to Governor Amosun were Mr. Wale Ogunyomade, Ogundele, Mrs. Hafsat Abiola-Costello and others.
