Super Eagles’ Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, has disclosed that he was still waiting for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to buy an official car for him, admitting that he has held discussion with the federation on the issue.
Speaking to Daily Sunsports at the Home-based Super Eagles’ camp yesterday, the former Hawks of Togo handler pointed out that the federation was aware that he needs to be mobile, so he has been waiting for the football body to fulfil its promise of buying a new car for him.
“I know that I need to be mobile, the federation has also discussed with me about getting me a new car and giving me other logistics, but we never held any discussion about inheriting the official car Samson Siasia used. I don’t know where the media got the report that I rejected Siasia’s official car,” he noted.
The Eagles’ boss also spoke on the decision to shutout gatecrashers in the Eagles’ camp, noting that he doesn’t want anybody to distract his team from achieving its set target.
“We have screened out seven of the originally invited players. We don’t want any gatecrasher and Ngerians, who would want to come and distract us. “Yes, some players came to the stadium to plead that we should try them, but we refused because we are focused on the special assignment before us.”
