Syli Nationale talks tough against Eagles

Coach of Syli Nationale of Guinea, Michel Dussuyer and his players, who are currently perfecting their strategies in France, are talking tough ahead of Saturday’s Nations Cup cracker in Abuja.
Dussuyer says he is not feeling any pressure playing with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

“It’s a good thing that we are still ahead of a team, which has qualified for the Nations Cup regularly for the past 25 years. That will put them under pressure,” he said.

“We have yet to qualify, but our destiny is in our hands. The match in Abuja will determine our fate. It is a game you dream of; the pressure is on Nigeria, not on Guinea to win the match.

“We are doing well and qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations would be the icing in the cake. It would be a wonderful gift.
“I love the enthusiasm I get from everyone in Guinea. My players would be giving their all against Nigeria in Abuja in a bid to qualify for the 2012 Nations Cup, the biggest competition on the African continent.”

Meanwhile, Guinea’s star player, Djoulde Bah, who scored a goal during the team’s away match in Madagascar in the qualifying series, also insisted that they wouldn’t have any business losing to Nigeria. He insisted that Syli Nationale would beat Nigeria in Abuja.
“Come rain or shine, anywhere you take the match to, We will get the three points in Nigeria,” Bah boasted.
The country’s government has since promised the team a huge financial reward to get a result in Nigeria. In preparation for the match against the Super Eagles, the Guinea Federation has released a time-table of activities for the national team.
The Syli Stars are scheduled to depart Paris, France via Frankfurt, Germany for Abuja, the Nigeria’s capital on Thursday, October 6.
