Jonathan visits Kogi today

THE people of Kogi will today receive President Goodluck Jonathan as he pays a one-day official visit to the state.

While in the state, President Jonathan is expected to commission  various projects put in place by the administration of Governor Ibrahim Idris.

Among them are the newly constructed office of the state governor, office of the deputy governor, the Lokoja Greater Water Project and Ganaja/Ajaokuta Road.

Already, Lokoja, the state capital, is wearing a new look, as most of the major roads had been rehabilitated by the state government.

President Jonathan will equally use the occasion to kick off the grand finale of the campaign of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Captain Idris Wada, at Lokoja township stadium.

The event is expected to rally support for the  governorship candidate for the December 3 governorship election in the state.
