Nigeria ‘ll be great again – Jonathan (No promises, just do it)
Goodluck Jonathan (2010-present), Presidency Monday, May 23rd, 2011President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed strong optimism that Nigeria will become great again and reclaim its rightful position among comity of nations.
Dr. Jonathan stated this during a victory thanksgiving service held in his honour by the Ogbia Brotherhood and the Ogbia Ministers Forum in Ogbia Town, Bayelsa State.
President Jonathan while thanking Nigerians for their support all through his campaigns and eventual victory at the polls urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the growth, unity and progress of the country.
He also urged the clergy not to relent in its prayers for the country adding that socio-political and economic growth cannot be complete without spiritual growth.
Condemning the electoral violence in some part of the country which claimed innocent lives the president described the incident as highly regrettable and urged Nigerians to learn to tolerate one another irrespective of wherever they find themselves.
The President who was represented by the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Werinipre Seibarugu commended the Ogbia Brotherhood for deeming it fit to hold a victory thanksgiving in his honour and urged them to continue to pray for the state and country.
