A 243-strong Nigeria delegation arrived at the Addis Ababa Bole Airport on Saturday morning for Sunday’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.
Head coach Stephen Akashi told KickOffNigeria.com on arrival that his boys were relaxed and looking forward to a good game.
“It was a great journey, very smooth and we are here now. So far we haven’t felt the effects of the altitude yet, but we will go and train later today and see how things go,” he says.
Captain Vincent Enyeama, who was part of the squad the last time they flew to Entebbe to refuel and ended up spending nearly 10 hours, was equally pleased.
“I would just like to say thank you to whoever organised this flight. This was better than the last time. Now we’ll just have to get some rest, train and prepare for Sunday.”
