Abubakar confirmed Police IG
Latest Politics, Nigerian Police Thursday, July 12th, 2012The Police Service Commission, PSC, Thursday, confirmed Mohammed Abubakar as the Inspector General of Police.
It will be recalled that Abubakar was appointed Acting Inspector General of Police on January, 2012 by President Goodluck Jonathan.
In a statement issued then by Dr Reuben Abati, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the appointment was the “first step toward a comprehensive re-organisation and repositioning of the Nigeria Police Force to make it more effective and capable of meeting emerging internal security challenges.”
