Davido smiling all the way to the bank: Declares He Made $22.3 million in 2021

Nigerian music star David Adeleke popularly known as “Davido”, has disclosed that he smiled to the bank all through 2021. The singer said he made $22.3 million in 2021, which is estimated to be about N13 billion.

David made this known on Friday, December 31, 2021, via a social media post shared on his Instagram Stories.

The singer said, “Made $22.3 million this year. “Talk to shit,” he wrote.

Davido is one of the highest-earning celebrities in the country.

From record sales, streaming and endorsement deals, the music star sure had a great 2021.

In December, he secured a major endorsement deal with sports company Puma.

Though the exact figures of the deal were not declared, reports revealed that the singer’s endorsement ran into millions of dollars.

Davido, on his birthday, asked friends to donate N1m for him, at which he received N200m from friends and colleagues in the industry in hours.

David became the buzz as even CNN interviewed him for receiving such an amount of money.

However, Davido added N50m in addition to the donated money summing N250m. He made a donation of the sum to orphanages in Nigeria.

He had said he made the decision because some people need the money more than him.

The artist recently celebrated 10 years in the industry with an event named ‘A Decade of Davido’. The 29-old music star performing before a multitude inside the Eko Convention Centre with several of his colleagues, including Olamide, Adekunle Gold, Naira Marley, and Tiwa Savage, amongst others.
