Gunmen abduct 2 NYSC members, friend in Rivers
NYSC (National Youth Service Corp), Rivers, State News Tuesday, January 17th, 2012Gunmen have kidnapped two members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and their female friend in Odagwa, Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The two NYSC members (a male and female) are attached to C.S.S in that community.
Soon after the incident, security operatives were said to have got an alert and went in search of the victims and suspects.
According to a police source, the male corps member was rescued.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Benjamin Ugwuegbulam, DSP, who confirmed the report, said security operatives had intensified efforts to rescue the victims and arrest suspects.
