Jonathan nominates Bianca Ojukwu, Maduekwe, Arapaja, 24 others as ambassadors
General Politics, National Politics, Top Stories Friday, December 2nd, 2011President Goodluck Jonathan has forwarded names of 27 new ambassadorial nominees including former foreign affairs minister, Ojo Uma Maduekwe, Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the late Ikemba Nnewi, Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and immediate past deputy governor of Oyo State, Taofeek Arapaja to the Senate for confirmation.
Mrs. Ojukwu is still Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Matters.
She was nominated as an ambassador in “special category.”
Mrs. Ojukwu was the only one so nominated in that category.
Former aviation minister, Mrs. Fidelia Akuabata Njeze and another former deputy governor of Ondo State, Chief Cornelius Oluwateru and a former chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Mrs Esther John Audu are also on the list of ambassadorial nominees
Other non-career nominees are: James Shuaibu Barka, Adamawa, Asam Asam, (SAN) Akwa Ibom, Okwudili O. Nwosu and Dr. Francis C. Okeke, Anambra, Eric Aworabhi, Bayelsa and Chive Kaave, Benue State.
Others are Dauda Danladi, Borno, Mrs. Katharine Okon, Cross River, Nwafor Alexander and Mathias Okafor, Ebonyi, Mrs. Sifawu Inu-Umaru Momoh, Edo, Princes Victoria Onipede, Ekiti, Fidelia A. Njeze, Enugu, Senator Haruna Garba, Gombe, Nonye Rajis-Okpara and Eddy Onuoha, Imo, Adamu B. Ibrahim and Alhaji Tukur Mani, Katsina, Biodun Nathaniel Olorunfemi, Kogi, Olatokunbo Kamson, Lagos and Dr. Sam Jimba, Nasarawa State.
Cornelius Oluwateru and Roland Omowa, Ondo, Akinyemi Farounbi, Osun, Taofik Arapaja, Oyo, Matilda Kwashi, Plateau Abdalah Wali, Sokoto, Senator Lawan Gana Guba, Yobe, Abubakar Shehu Bunu, Zamfara and Esther John Audu, Federal Capital Territory.
The President also nominated 37 career ambassadorial nominees. They are: G.O. Ehiabuche, Abia, T. Hamman Joda, Adamawa, M.S. Gereng-Sen, Adamawa, S.B. Bassey, Akwa Ibom, C.N. Okafor, Anambra, D.G Bala and M.S. Yunusa, Bauchi, P.O. Ogidi-Oke, Bayelsa, M. Adoli and IV Ogah, Benue, U. Sarki and G.A. Zakari, Borno, E.A Asuquo and B.E. Achibong, Cross River, F.N. Isah and N.C. Onianwa, Delta, F. Awanbor and P.I. Iyamabo, Edo as well as L.A. Ayodele, representing Ekiti State.
Others include: C.N. Iroala, Enugu, D.L. Madugu and B.T. Tekune, Gombe, C.E. Obi-Nnadozie, Imo, H.Ginsau and I.B. Rabiu, Jigawa and I.A.O. Nuhu and M.L. Suleiman, representing Kaduna State.

Mrs. Hadiza Mustapha on grade level 16 was nominated on the basis of “gender slot.”
All the career ambassadorial nominees are on grade level 16 and 17 respectively
