Nigerian Corruption Profile Worst Ever, Says Ribadu
General Politics, Latest Politics Sunday, February 13th, 2011Nigeria’s corruption profile is the worst ever, the presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Malam Nuhu Ribadu has declared.
Speaking when he paid a condolence visit to the families of those who lost their loved ones during a protest in Lafia, Ribadu described mismanagement, insecurity and the corruption going on in the country as the worst ever experienced in the nation’s history.
Ribadu, who also demanded justice for those that died during the recent Lafia protests, said that recent happening s in the country should serve as a warning to the PDP-led government at both the federal and the state levels, saying that the people are yearning for change from the atrocities of misrule of PDP.
He described the killing of the two children ‘hit by stray bullets from combined team of police and soldiers, during the protest by youths in Lafia, as the sign of a failed government and worst injustice ever perpetuated.
He then, called for immediate justice to the families of the bereaved, saying that the killing of the children portrayed an act of negligence by the government that swore to protect the citizenry.
Ribadu advised the families to ensure they got justice they deserved for the death of their dear ones, adding that the ACN-led government would make security a priority while in power.
