Kolade Olutekunbi, Secretary, Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, said on Thursday that everything had been done to ensure a hitch-free outing for the William sisters’ proposed exhibition match.
Olutekunbi told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that the centre court of the club would host the topflight exhibition encounter between Venus Williams and Serena Williams on Friday.
He added that tickets for the highly anticipated match between the two sisters who are frontline tennis players were being sold at N10, 000 and N5, 000 respectively.
“I can proudly say that the club is prepared to host the William sisters and lovers of the sport on Friday.
“We have taken steps to ensure that the match goes smoothly, without any hitches, in line with what obtains in the circuits they usually feature in,” he said.
The secretary added that financial members of the club would also need to obtain tickets to watch the iconic exhibition match.
