Terrorist attack in French church leaves three dead
Africa & World Politics, Headlines, NNP News Thursday, October 29th, 2020(NNP) A terror attack in the coastal French city of Nice has left three people dead. According to reports, a man brandishing a knife entered a church and slit the throat of a woman while shouting “Allahu Akbar” which translates to “God is great.” He repeatedly stabbed another worshipper, a man who died at the scene and then moved to stab another woman who somehow escaped, but soon after succumbed to her injuries at a nearby cafe. Police arrived and shot the attacker who survived and was treated by paramedics. Following the attack, France has raised its emergency level to “maximum” as the country’s anti-terror prosecutor takes over the case and begins investigation.
