2015: Group plans rally for Jonathan in Awka

AWKA—ANOTHER pressure group, Oriental Peoples Movement, OPM, has joined the army of groups campaigning for President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 presidential election with a rally planned for August 15, 2014, in Awka.
Participants at the rally will come from all the states in the former Eastern region and the federal capital, Abuja.
National coordinator of the group, Mr. Andy Onyeachonam, told reporters in Awka yesterday that the group would, on that day, tell Nigerians why they must vote for Jonathan, saying as far as the group was concerned, there was no vacancy in Aso Rock Villa in 2015.
According to him, August 15 is significant because it is the day the issuance of the permanent voters’ cards would commence in Anambra State.
