Protest in northern Nigeria over killing of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, better known as Shiites, have taken to the streets of Niger State on Sunday to protest the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Shiites in Nigeria are led by Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.
DAILY POST reported that Khamenei was killed in coordinated airstrikes on Iran by the United States and Israel military.
Dozens of IMN members mobilised shortly after the news of Khamenei’s alleged death filtered through social media channels.
In a video sighted by DAILY POST on Sunday, the followers of the Shi’a cleric, were seen chanting ‘freedom to Iran, death to America ‘.
The protesters also marched through parts of the state chanting solidarity slogans and waving Iranian flags and placards bearing inscriptions such as “We Stand With Iran.”
