Headlines, Soccer, Sports Saturday, June 10th, 2017By New Nigerian Politics Sports Writer
South Africa today in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, achieved the unbelievable, a dream result with a sound defeat of the Super Eagles by a 2-0 margin. Both goals were scored in the second half with a very unmotivated Nigerian team unable to put up any resistance or test the ability of the opponents. With this victory, South Africa ties Libya at three points in the group. The top two group leaders will advance to the 2019 African Nations’ Cup in Cameroon. In the other group play, Libya defeated Seychelles 5-1. The match was played in Egypt due to the security challenges in Libya.
