Lagos is untouchable for PDP —Tinubu ‘They ’ll also lose Ogun, Oyo’
Headlines, Lagos, State News Wednesday, December 29th, 2010A former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, insisted that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was only dreaming about winning elections in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States, declaring that Nigerians were tired of a ‘poverty party.”
In a chat with airport journalists at the Presidential wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Tinubu said even if the Action Congress of Nigeria’s (ACN) preparation for the elections begins two days to the election, it would win in all the wards in states in the South-West, adding that the ACN had become the party of the masses.
His words:“Let them continue to delude themselves, I am not bothered, they will not win Lagos, even if we have a test run, we didn’t campaign, we didn’t nominate anybody within two days to the elections, that is a fact, and we stay back, if PDP will take Namadi Sambo to Ado-Ekiti for a House of Assembly election, if all their stalwarts will descend on Igbogbo in Ikorodu, just forget the illusions. “When Adeseye Ogunlewe was a commissioner and Olorunfunmi Bashorun was the chairman of the state in that constituency, they never won any election. So goodluck to their dreams, you can’t stop them, from dreaming but they will wake to the reality that Lagos is untouchable for PDP and they will lose Ogun, they will lose Oyo states, write it down,” he said.wp_posts
