UK deports 61 Nigerians
Headlines Friday, July 22nd, 2011No fewer than 61 Nigerians were yesterday deported from the United Kingdom (UK) over immigration related offences.
Daily Sun gathered that the deportees who were flown into Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in the early hours of Thursday were left on the tarmac of the terminal.
The officials of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) were on ground to receive the deportees comprising 47 males, 11 females and three minors as they arrived MMIA aboard a chartered flight from UK.
The deportees, who wore sullen faces, cursed the government for the action, saying the deportation was a harsh action meted out to them.
When Daily Sun visited the NAHCO shed of the terminal, some of them were seen carrying their baggage hurriedly into waiting cars and buses brought by relations who had come to receive them.wp_posts
