Ajimobi, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Dr. Festus Adedayo, wondered what could have been the motive of those behind the bombing.
He said: “This act of heightening tension and creating unnecessary fear of insecurity in the country by the masterminds of the bombing is condemnable in all its ramifications. There is really nothing wrong in citizens or group of citizens having an axe to grind with the country. “They should desist from turning Nigeria into a terrorist nation, which will eventually rub-off on our collective image as Nigerians.’’
Besides, he noted that such dastardly act would also not help Nigeria in its quest to attain a permanent seat in the UN Security Council.
Orji described the bombing as another vain attempt at destablising the country.
Orji, in a statement by his Adviser on Electronic Media, Ugochukwu Emezue, said those behind the dastardly act are enemies of democracy who are ready to do anything to create an atmosphere of insecurity in the country.
