A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Ibadan, Chief Wole Olanipekun, has described last week bomb scare on the institution alongside 19 others, as a wicked rumour and an unreliable wild tale peddled by some unscrupulous individuals that wanted to disorganize the peaceful environment of the institution.
Olanipekun, who spoke with newsmen at the weekend, in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, urged parents and the students of the institution not to entertain fear.
“I was in the institution through out the day of the said bomb blast, and nothing was happening. There was no iota of truth in the rumour and I appeal to the parents and the students to discountenance it and go about their normal academic works,” he said.
