We’ll beat Nigeria silly -Titi Camara (Let’s talk on the field)
Headlines Friday, September 30th, 2011GUINEA great, Abuobacar Titi Camara has sent a note of warning to Nigeria ahead of the decisive 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between the Super Eagles and the Syli National of Guinea.
The encounter billed for the Abuja National Stadium on October 8 will decide which team will top Group Two and book a place in the championship to be jointly staged by Gabon and Equitorial Guinea.
The former Guinean international, who scored in his last outing against the Eagles in a World Cup qualifier in Lagos which the Nigerians, then under the tutelage of Philippe Troussier, won 2-1 said his team would hit Abuja with the aim of recording an outright victory over the Eagles.
Camara who is now Guinea’s Sports Minister disclosed that though a draw would be enough to see them through, the Syli have been well motivated for a win over the Nigerian team which needs to win to topple the Guineans who are leading the group with 13 points, three more than Nigeria’s.
Speaking with confidence, Camara said: “We are not going to Nigeria to play for a draw, I told the players after we beat Ethiopia that we need to win in Nigeria to be winners of the group. So we will come to Abuja and we will play to win the match.”
