Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson, Wednesday sacked the state’s executive council and the board of all government owned parastatals while also freezing the government accounts.
All political office holders appointed by both former Governor Timipre Sylva and former acting governor, Chief Nestor Binabo, were asked to go with immediate effect.
The governor proving he was going to be his own man also defied the political zoning arrangement in the state by appointing the Director-General of his campaign organisation, Chief Fred Agbedi, as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Dickson and Agbedi are from the same zone.
