Nigerian Pop Icon, Tuface, weds heart throb, Annie, in secret ceremony

By Charles Mgbolu
Tuface Idibia has stunned everyone; entertainment journalists, fans and friends alike as he secretly weds Annie Macauley whom he engaged on Valentine’s day this year.

Everyone had been waiting anxiously for the date of the wedding to be announced; hoping it will be the mother of all weddings; there had been big plans by many including die hard fans and journalists to be right there at the venue no matter what it takes.

But Tuface has beaten everyone to the game.

Reports have it that in a private registry wedding in Lagos attended by only close family members including the parents of the bride and groom Tuface had said ‘I do’ to the love of his life.

It was deafeningly quiet; so hush hushed that most of Annie’s friends were not present including Idibia’s close friends and associates.

However, looking at the chronology of events starting from just days before Tuface proposed to Annie on February 14, till date, the pop singer had enshrouded himself in a blanket of silence; refusing to answer questions that directly probed his plans with Annie.

As at this moment, Tuface or his publicist is yet to make an official statement on this development.

Fans who have heard this are somewhat disappointed. It wasn’t what they had expected.

However, there seem to be cheering news somewhere in the corner with word out from insiders that there still might be another wedding ceremony between these two which should hold all the pomp and grandeur befitting of a celebrity like Tuface later on in the year.

Are you surprised at Tuface’s wedding to Annie?  Why all the secrecy?wp_posts
