Forget 2015, Think About Masses, Cleric Tells Politicians
Headlines Saturday, May 26th, 2012A religious leader has advised politicians to focus on how they can move the country forward, rather than dissipating energy on how they are going to win future elections in the country.
This piece of advice came from the Founder and Pastor of the Celica Church of Christ, Worldwide,Prophet Emmanuel Adetunji Adeonigbagbe, during a chat at the headquarters of the church in Celica, Adegbayi area of Ibadan, during the week.
According to Prophet Adeonigbagbe, what should be uppermost in the mind of every Nigerian right now should be how to rebuild the country, so that it can be a better place for all to live in.
He said that it was disheartening that many politicians had started rooting for 2015 when it is just one year into the tenure of the current administration in the country.
The cleric said the anniversary of the one-year in office of the current administration should be used to appraise its performance and how it had gone in affecting the nation either positively or negatively and finding the common will to forge ahead.
The man of God further said that what politicians should be doing was to rally round the the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in order for him to succeed, but that it was unfortunate that rather than doing this, some politicians have begun to form unholy alliances on how to unseat him in 2015.wp_posts
