World Cup qualifier: Nigeria beat Namibia 1-0

Ike Uche scored 10 minutes from time as the Super Eagles ground out a 1-0 win over Namibia in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier.
The striker showed ice-cold nerves to ram home from six yards after buying himself space with some fancy nit of ball juggling.
Stephen Keshi’s second competitive game saw the former Nigeria skipper taking the bold step of sending out five domestic league players out to battle.
It looked like the brave decision would pay off early, as Ejike Uzoenyi linked up well with Victor Moses and Ike Uche to fashion out multiple chances in the opening 15 minutes.
But Uche failed to put the ball inside the net, and that set the tone for most of the game.
Namibia barely threatened for most of the match, and only found themselves forward in spurts.
With Kenya drawing at home to Malawi on Saturday, Nigeria move into top spot in the group.
