Air Nigeria workers suspend strike
Headlines Friday, June 8th, 2012AIR Nigeria, on Thursday, announced the suspension of the strike embarked upon by a section of its aircraft engineers and pilots, under the umbrella of the Nigerian Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE).
A statement issued by the airline media manager, Samuel Ogbogoro, said Air Nigeria would shortly re-commence normal flight operations across its domestic and regional routes.
According to the statement; “Air Nigeria affirms that it operates in strict compliance to safety regulations and has, at no time, compromised on standards and would, therefore, like to assure the public of its commitment to always offer quality and safe air services.
“We regret the inconveniences that the disruption to our flight operations caused our passengers and wish to encourage them to contact the call centre, or any of our airport and city ticketing offices for flight information and updates and bookings.”
The airline also commiserated with the country over the recent plane crash that claimed several lives.
