Samuel Peters, Maskaev for rematch in December

Former WBC heavyweight Oleg Maskaev (36-7, 27KOs) could return on December 17th in Moscow, according to well known Russian promoter Vladimir Hyrunov. Maskaev, inactive for over three years, would be part of the card that features WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev fighting Colombian Santander Silgado. If Maskaev is finalised, there are two possible opponents – former champion Samuel Peter (34-5, 27KOs), who knocked out Maskaev in six rounds in 2008, and the other option is Monte Barrett (35-10-2, 20KOs).
