Ghanaian in Toronto kills girlfriend
Africa & World Politics, Headlines Saturday, February 9th, 2013Toronto police say a man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found across the street from an Etobicoke apartment building on Saturday morning.
Police issued a news release on Sunday afternoon, indicating that 30-year-old Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah of Toronto had been charged with first-degree murder.
He was arrested Saturday morning in Mississauga with the assistance of Peel Regional Police. The accused appeared in court on Sunday morning.
The name of the 27-year-old female victim was not immediately released, as police say they are still notifying next of kin.
Members of the victim’s family have told CBC News that the woman is survived by two young sons.wp_posts
