Nigerian diplomat to get visa free entry into China
Africa & World Politics, Latest Politics Sunday, January 12th, 2014THE Nigerian/Chinese tie has gone a step deeper, as Nigerian diplomats and senior government officials get visa exception with effect from February 1. The announcement was made yesterday.
The outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Deng Boqing, made the disclosure at the Nigeria-China Business Roundtable and Luncheon in Lagos, which was organised by the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs.
Boqing also said China will work with Nigerian government to simplify via process for the ordinary citizens. He said the decision is based on an agreement reached recently between President Jonathan and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.
“We have decided to offer visa exemption for Nigerian diplomats and senior government officials in a first phase. In the future, we will also be working with the Nigerian government to simplify other citizens’ visa application process,” he said.wp_posts
