The political crisis brewing in the country is about to boil over as the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared war on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government under the watch of President Goodluck Jonathan.
APC at a meeting of its interim National Executive Committee (NEC) held today in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, directed members of the party in the National Assembly to henceforth shoot down any bill from the Presidency, including the 2014 Budget and the list of 12 ministerial nominees submitted for screening and approval by President Jonathan.
A communiqué to this effect was read to journalists after the meeting by APC Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
News Express reports that APC has been trying to take over important leadership positions in the House of Representatives where it now forms the majority following a gale of defections from the PDP but that the ruling party has so far frustrated the moves, including lodging a case in court in this regard.
