2015 presidential election holds Feb. 14 •Details of INEC’s 2014/2015 timetable

Nigeria’s next Presidential and National Assembly Elections will hold on February 14, 2015, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced last night.
The electoral umpire in a statement issued in Abuja by its Secretary, Mrs. Augusta Ogakwu, also indicated that the Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections would take place February 28, 2015.
The timetable also accommodates elections to be held this year: June 21, 2014 for the Ekiti State Governorship Election and August 9, 2014 for the Osun State governorship ballot. Below is a summary of the timetable:
June 21, 2014: Ekiti Governorship Election
Aug 9, 2014: Governorship Election
Feb 14, 2015: Presidential, N/Assembly elections
Feb 28, 2015: Governorship, State Assembly elections
