Nigeria, Mexico friendly set attendance record

The Super Eagles of Nigeria and their Mexican counterparts may get a quick return to Atlanta, Georgia to play another friendly game after their international friendly set a new attendance record.
The game, which was played early Thursday, recorded an arena high 68,220, as fans travelled far and wide to see the two World Cup-bound teams.
It is the highest number of fans ever to see a soccer game at the Georgia Dome.
The organisers of the game had earlier announced that they had sold out the tickets for the encounter, but it wasn’t clear whether it was scalpers picking up the tickets.
Despite the game ending goalless, fans were treated to exciting moments, as the game swung from end to end.
Now, the organisers are thinking of setting up another tie involving the two sides.
Both countries had earlier played out a 2-2 draw in Houston last year. wp_posts
