I won’t ban Okada in Ekiti -Fayose (Just to get their vote)

The Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for the June 21 election in Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has said commercial motorcycle operation, otherwise known as Okada, will not be banned by his administration if he is elected as the governor in the coming election.
He said the operators would be free to operate without fear of being proscribed, if he became the governor.

Fayose stated this at Ire-Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area of the state, during his ward-to-ward campaign tour.
In a statement by his media aide, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, on Wednesday, the PDP candidate urged the commercial motorcycle operators not to vote for any party that would throw them into unemployment market after getting to power.

Fayose said the All Progressives Congress had reputation for using Okada operators to win election only to proscribe their operations later.
He said, “To the Okada operators, vote for me Ayo Fayose, your friend. I dine with you, play with you. I am the governor you can feel, who will leave the office to the street in order to have rapport with you.
“Go and get your voter cards ready and use it to expel the APC government out of the Government House. If you claim that you love Fayose and you don’t have a card, you don’t love me at all.
“Beware of those who will ask you to release your card to them and give you token only to return it later. They have gone to do fraud with your card and may put you in problem later. Hold your card firmly; don’t release it to anybody.”
