Nollywood actress, Rukky Sanda, is one of the popular faces in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, although with few appearances in movies.

The sexy actress is well known for showing some cleavage each time occasion permits. The bare-it-all actress recently acquired the 2012 edition of Range Rover Evoque, which was said to have cost her about N14m.

The 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is a small luxury crossover SUV available in four-door and two-door (Coupe) body styles. As with most British cars, its cabin puts a special emphasis on style.

The Range Rover model comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, which produces class-competitive power and fuel economy. It comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.

One performance feature that separates the Evoque from other small luxury SUVs is Land Rover’s Terrain Response off-road technology. This technology allows the driver to adjust the power-train and suspension responses based on road conditions.

In Edmunds performance testing, the Evoque went from zero to 60 miles per hour in 7.4 seconds, which is a bit slower than average for the compact luxury SUV class. In brake testing, the Evoque Pure with 20-inch wheels came to a stop from 60 mph in an impressive 118 feet.

On fuel economy, it’s estimated by the Environmental Protection Agency to be better than average at 18 miles per gallon city/28 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

Features

Inside, the Evoque lives up to its Land Rover heritage with an interior that is equipped with features that most buyers seek. Not only is the cabin stocked full of standard goodies like Bluetooth and two USB ports, reviewers say that overall, the Evoque’s interior quality and luxurious amenities make the cabin one of its strongest characteristics.

The SUV has a decent amount of headroom, and the front seats are quite comfortable. The back seat is rather cramped, though the four-door model is a bit more accommodating and clearly the choice for families.

The Evoque has climate control for the rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, push-button start, Bluetooth, an 8-inch touch screen, two USB ports and a Meridian sound system. Navigation, rear seat entertainment, satellite and HD radio are available, but are expensive options.

Standard equipment on the Pure Plus include 19-inch wheels, the Land Rover Terrain Response system, Hill-start assist, front and rear fog lights, automatic wipers, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and ignition, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror. Also available are Bluetooth phone and a touch screen electronics interface.

The Pure Premium package adds adaptive xenon headlamps with automatic high beams and LED accents, a blind-spot warning system, a 360-degree parking camera system, and a 17-speaker surround-sound audio system with a 10-CD changer.

Safety

The 2012 Range Rover Evoque comes standard with parking sensors and a rear-view camera, brake assist, blind spot monitor, electronic stability control, traction control, trailer sway control and front and side curtain air bags.

After testing, test drivers say Evoque’s petite frame and respectable 240 horsepower make it one of the most lively vehicles in the class, but that it is under-powered compared with models like the Mercedes-Benz GLK, Audi Q5 and BMW X3, all of which have standard or optional V6 engines.

Test drivers categorise the Evoque as expensive and for shoppers who want to make a statement. It starts at about $44,000 (about N7.5m) for the base model, and shoppers who can afford it will be lured by its upscale standard amenities and one-of-a-kind exterior.

The good: Reviewers commended the appealing design, premium interior, stylish and well-constructed roomy cabin, refined ride quality; punchy and efficient engine; real off-road capability and available three-door body style.

The bad: Some reviewers complained of its lagging (two to four seconds) in navigation, narrow cargo area, less interior room than rivals and that its sleek styling may limit visibility.
