France top striker, Karim Benzema has warned his French squad to get serious for a tough encounter with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the second round of the World Cup insisting that they must do everything to beat the African champions.
Still savouring topping their group with seven points with the Real Madrid forward scoring three times, Benzema said that there are no pushovers again in the World Cup.
France finished top of their group with 7 points with the Real Madrid forward scoring three times. Their reward is a clash with Nigeria in the Round of 16 and Benzema said the Super Eagles would be no pushovers.
“ There are no easy opponents, we saw this against Ecuador. Now we must rest, recover well and get 100% for the knockout. Nigeria is a good team, it will be difficult but we must do everything to win”, he said.
The sides have only met once previously in an international friendly back in 2009. Les Bleus lost 1-0 in Saint-Etienne to a Joseph Akpala strike.
