(Big Surprise) Jonathan, Buhari, Shekarau, make presidential list – Ribadu’s name missing

President Goodluck Jonahan, General Mohammadu Buhari and Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau among other presidential candidates as well as their running mates had their names and particulars displayed by the INEC yesterday.
As at press time, names of Nuhu Ribadu, presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria and his running mate were missing, but the Director of Political Parties Monitoring and Liaison, Regina Omo-Agege, confirmed to Daily Sun last night the duo was cleared and their names ought to be on the list.

Apart from the Peoples Democratic Party standard bearer, President Goodluck Jonathan; Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, others whose names and credentials were on display were Alhaji Mahmud Waziri of  the People for Democratic Change (PFDC), the candidate of the Fresh Party, Pastor Chris Okotie as well as the African Renaissance Party, Mr. Yahaya Ndu.

Also on the INEC lists were Mr. John Dara of National Transformation Party and candidates jostling for the only Senatorial seat for the FCT, Mr. Kayode Ajulo of the Labour Party, National Conscience Party’s Ms Celestine Amaka, a 42- year old female caterer, and Mr. Hamza B Abdul who is contesting on the platform of the Better Nigeria Party.

Others were: Ms Obimuoso Peace, of the African Democratic Party, Mr. Ikeorha Dele Israel-Effiaji, a 43-year old from Ondo State who is contesting on the platform of Change Advocacy Party. Curiously, the particulars of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Mr. Philip Aduda were not on display as at the time of filing this report.
There were indications that names missing in the list could still come up as the display of personal details of persons contesting in the 2011 general elections at the FCT INEC was still on at press time last night.
