THE Canada chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says if voted into power, the party’s presidential aspirant, General Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, will evoke the doctrine of social contract between the leaders and the led in the polity of the country.

Chairman of the chapter, Mr  Elas Abone, said in a press statement made available to Saturday Tribune that the APC was out to reshape Nigeria and its future generations by recognising the role of government over the governed.

“The public office holder is a trustee of the people and power must be used in the interest of the people rather than the interest of the public office holder,” he said.

Secretary of the chapter, Mr Yemi Adegbite added that Nigerians in Diaspora would do all it could to ensure Buhari/ Osinbajo Presidency, believing that the duo ‘can redeem Nigeria from the current bottomless pit.’

Bolaji Dosunmu, publicity secretary noted that the APC had demonstrated great vision by picking both Buhari and Osinbajo for the Presidential race descibing both men are capable of restoring the past glory of Nigeria.
