Seven robbery suspects nabbed in Lagos- Police
Lagos, State News Saturday, February 12th, 2011The police in Lagos said they have arrested seven suspected armed robbers, including a woman, in two robbery incidents in the Lagos metropolis.
Samuel Jinadu, spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, disclosed this on yesterday to newsmen.
Jinadu said that three of the suspects, who had earlier robbed a victim of a Toyota Highlander vehicle at Owode-Onirin, Ikorodu Road, were arrested on Thursday at Agbado area during another robbery incident.
The police spokesman said that four other suspects, who operated on motorcycles, were arrested on Wednesday at Meiran along the Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway.
He advised members of the public, particularly women, to always carry their hand bags with care so as to avoid being attacked by suspected robbers on motorcycles.
