Walden University has concluded arrangements to host an information session about its graduate programmes in Lagos next month.
According to Walden University’s interim president, Jonathan Kaplan, said that the the session aims to provide working professionals and adult learners with information about the opportunities available at the university.
Representatives, according to him would also offer insight into Walden’s unique online learning model and extensive range of available programmes.
Themed “Explore Walden University,” the 2-hour information session will be held on Saturday, 6 June, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The session will bring together representatives from the university to map out a path that will guide participants in expanding their education through online learning.
Participants will be able to speak with local university representatives about their career goals as well as determine which degree programme best suits their professional goals.
The session will also provide attendees with the opportunity to meet other local working professionals who are interested in pursuing an advanced degree, in addition to helping them establish a local network of peers.
“Walden University’s online degree programmes are designed to provide students with cutting-edge skills and knowledge that are prerequisites for excelling in today’s global marketplace,” said Kaplan. “Consistent with our commitment to educational excellence, we offer more than 80 accredited online degree programmes across a variety of industries, including public health, management, project management and public policy.
Choosing the right degree programme is a critical step to future success, and this session will equip participants with helpful information that will enable them to make informed choices about their higher education.”
“It’s important to have an idea of where you want to go before beginning the journey. Walden has helped me to move from just measuring my success by my technology experience to adding value to myself, my organisation, my community and my country.
“I am well-equipped to influence and advocate for social change in my society, starting with my family, office and the society at large,” said John Chikowe, resident of Abuja and a graduate of Walden’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
