I kidnapped my brother as a retaliation, says female undergraduate
Headlines Sunday, February 13th, 2011Asaba — AN undergraduate student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, who allegedly connived to kidnapped her brother in Asaba, she she did it because the brother abandoned paying her school fees despite the fact that she contributed to his wealth.
The suspect, presently in police custody along with the five members of the kidnap gang, told newsmen that she decided to kidnap her brother, a businessman because he refused to pay her fees.
She said, “I labored very hard to raise money to send my brother to Spain with a promise from him to take care of me when he returns.
“The thought of kidnapping my brother actually came to me on a particular day in school as I was unable to pay my school fees.
“It was at this point I came to Asaba and asked my girl friend to link me to people who can kidnap my brother to enable me extort money from him,” she added.
The state PPRO, Charles Muka said that the kidnap gang had already collected N10,000 advance for the dirty job.
