The Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra has announced its alliance with the pro-Igbo group, Alaigbo Development Foundation, and others towards preventing Fulani herdsmen from invading the zone.
In a statement issued in Owerri, the Imo State capital on Monday, MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu, said, “The leadership of Alaigbo Development Foundation led by Professor Uzodinma Nwala met in a closed-door consultative meeting with the representatives of the Coalition of pro-Biafran groups in Owerri.
“The meeting was centred mostly on the current political, religious, cultural and economical challenges in Igbo land, including the agitation and clamour for Biafra actualisation.”
He said the meeting examined the challenges of Ndigbo in Nigeria towards enhancing the relationship among pro-Biafra groups and other Igbo leaders.
Madu said, “We also harped on the need for pro-Biafra and self-determination leadership heads and figures to swallow their individual prides and egos and establish a spirited and brotherly working relationship among themselves for the overall interest of our people.”
