Top CNN legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin, suspended after exposing himself on Zoom call

(NNP) Top CNN legal analyst and New Yorker Magazine staff writer, Jeffrey Toobin, has been suspended from the magazine and has taken a leave of absence from CNN after he reportedly exposed himself while on a Zoom call with the magazine staff last week. Toobin indicated he had thought the video was off and that he made “an embarrassingly stupid mistake.” He stated, “I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers.”
“I believed I was not visible on Zoom,” he added. “I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.” Toobin was a former federal prosecutor and the author of nine books. The incident is coming at a time his expertise is needed with the ongoing controversial nomination of a new Supreme Court Justice, Amy Coney Barrett, who in all likelihood will be confirmed by the Republican majority led Senate next week.
