Breaking News: Bomb blasts rock INEC office in Suleja, many dead

By New Nigerian Politics

With only a few hours to tomorrow’s rescheduled parliamentary elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suffered a serious setback Friday with an explosion that rocked its office in Suleja, Niger State killing about 25 people that included INEC officials, members of the various parties and corp members assigned to assist with the elections. According to a reliable source who spoke to New Nigerian Politics only moments ago on condition that his name not be put in print, he indicated that situation is very tense in Niger State and in other parts of the country as some elements are bound to sabotage the elections in order to make the case for a Government of National Unity (GNU) to get rid of President Jonathan. The source further noted that President Jonathan has just ordered the military who have been sent on election duty across the country to shoot trouble makers on sight to ensure a free and fair election.
